Acton Town Council Special Meeting Minutes, April 8, 2024 Approved

Call to Order, Flag Salute, and Roll Call – The meeting was called to order at 5:08pm by President Jeremiah Owen. Present at the meeting- Jeremiah Owen, Jacki Ayer, Pam Wolter, June Perkins, and Kelly Teno.. Joined by Acton Takes Action representative Ruth Brock.
Motion on Wind Turbines LA County BOS – Jacki Ayer made a motion to write a letter expressing concerns with the motion by Supervisor Horvath on Accelerating Renewable Energy Development and Promoting Community, highlighting concerns with above ground transmission lines and BESS. June Perkins 2nd the motion. The motion carried. The ATC should ask for no wind turbines on ridges and peaks and on scenic highways. Jacki Ayer made a motion to send representation to speak at the BOS meeting. Pam Wolter 2nd the motion. The motion carried.
