Acton Town Council Special Meeting Meetings, March 26, 2025, Approved

Call to Order, Flag Salute & Roll Call – The meeting was called to order by President Jeremiah Owen at 5:30pm. Members present at the meeting: Jeremiah Owen, Don Laird, June Perkins, Jacki Ayer, Pam Wolter, and Kelly Teno.
Bylaws – Kelly Teno reported the she and Pam Wolter had reviewed the Bylaws and a copy of the proposed amendments had been emailed to the ATC. Kelly read Article 14 – Procedures to Amend the By-Laws to everyone and pointed out that this would be the first meeting that they were presented. Since this meeting was noticed on our website and open to the public we could consider this the first time they were presented. Kelly then went through the proposed changes and they were discussed. Kelly will present them at the April 7, 2025 meeting and hopefully they can be voted on.
REO Ordinance Workshop – Jacki Ayer gave an update on the REO Ordinance , she explained what has happened in the past and what is happening now. Jacki Ayer made a motion to send someone to represent the ATC at the REO Ordinance Workshop, Don Laird 2nd the motion. The motion carried.
Cannabis Scoping Meeting – We found out about this meeting after our February ATC meeting. Don Laird attended and sent a summary to the ATC email. There were no buffers which violates the plan for residential buffers. Comments are due April 4, 2025. Jacki Ayer made a motion to write scoping comments on the Cannabis Ordinance. Don Laird 2nd the motion. The motion carried.
