Purposeful Aging Los Angeles (PALA) has launched a countywide survey, available through October 1, 2017 to gather information and receive feedback from county and city residents they hope will guide the development of an Age Friendly Plan from 2018-2021 for the L.A. region.
This is an opportunity for County and City of Los Angeles residents to speak out and help us make the Los Angeles region more age-friendly, allowing people to age in place and in community,” said Cynthia Banks, director of Los Angeles County Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services.
The older adult population in the Los Angeles region is expected to double between 2010 and 2030 to more than 2.2 million people, and PALA hopes that their efforts can prepare the County for this growing issue, according to officials.
