Acton Town Council
FEBRUARY 4, 2015
For several years the Acton Town Council has been
working with LA County Dept. of Regional Planning to
review and recommend language for the Antelope Valley
Area Wide Plan update which would continue to designate
Acton as a “Rural” community and protect the lifestyle that
Acton residents have continued to value over the years.
We endeavored to assure that the newly revised plan’s
language would be consistent in the LA County General
Plan and our Community Standards.
The next step in this process is to review the Acton
Community Standards to assure their consistency with the
AV Area Wide Plan and to identify and recommend any
needed changes to assure this consistency and to address
and recommend any changes needed to preserve our
“Rural” lifestyle and associated rights.
The first meeting in this process is scheduled on February
23, 2015, starting at 7:00pm, at the Acton/Agua Dulce
Library. The meeting is open to all residents and owners of
Acton property.
